Griffith Observatory
One of the most romantic places in L.A. overlooking the city from its lofty location, Griffith Observatory is as noted for its breathtaking city views as its fascinating programs. Inside, you may search for extraterrestrial life and discover the causes of earthquakes, among dozens of other interesting things to do. A multi-media theater, planetarium, telescopes, and exhibits are all part of the Observatory.

La Brea Tar Pits
The Rancho La Brea Tar Pits spark the imagination about the past, and right in the middle of the city of Los Angeles. Famous for its well-preserved fossils of animals that lived thousands and thousands of years ago, the Tar Pits and the Page Museum include skeletons from animals like saber tooth tigers, as well as fossils of ancient plants.

Six Flags Magic Mountain
This family-friendly amusement park has something for everyone, big and small, old and young. With over 100 rides, shows, eateries, gift shops, and attractions, including 16 thrilling roller coasters and adorably fun kiddie rides, Magic Mountain is a definite crowd pleaser.
