Wedding Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: Yes, our food and beverage experts are happy to create a menu that reflects your wishes. Our experienced team will work with you fulfill your requests. In addition to our outstanding traditional catering, we offer the only dedicated hotel kosher kitchen in the city, as well as our own in-house pastry kitchen.

 

Q: Can I taste all the food before the wedding?
A: Of course. A complete tasting of all the selected menu items will be scheduled several weeks prior to your wedding. At that time, we can make any necessary adjustments.

 

Q: What is the minimum amount of rooms needed to set up a room block? 
A: You can offer a group discounted rate to your guests, a minimum of 10 rooms is needed

 

Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired. Your wedding specialist will advise any additional costs for the additional time.

 

Q: Can I have an open bar at the wedding?
A: You can elect to have an open bar, a limited selection of wine and beer or a cash bar. Your wedding specialist will advise you on the costs and inclusions for each.

 

Q: How do my guests make reservations? 
A: Each group that chooses to contract with us receives a custom website made especially for their group. The website is usually the preferred option of our couples, although guests may also call our reservations line at (888) 421 – 1442. Please note that the discounted rate is not available until the group is built into the system. This takes about 7-10 business days after the signed agreement is received.

 

Q; I want to bring gift bags for our guests.  How do I handle this?

A: Our policy on gift bags is that the sales manager must be notified about the gift bags at least seven days prior to arrivals. We require the gift bags to be dropped off either at the front desk or the front office between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, at least 48 hours prior to the first guest’s arrival date. For bags that are all the same and un-specified (generic) we do not charge for hand-out. If the bags are name-specific, we charge $5.00 per bag. Gift bags cannot be pre-placed in a guest’s room.

 

Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at the hotel?
A: Certainly. We have several locations that are appropriate for these occasions.

 

Q: Are taxes and service charges included in the pricing?
A: No, your contract pricing will not include all taxes and service charges. Please remember, pricing is not final until a signed contract is returned to your wedding specialist.

 

Q: Can I decorate the reception room?
A: Allow us to give you ideas and suggestions that have successfully worked in the past. Of course, our wedding specialist will be happy to assist you in acquiring anything we may not have readily available.
